Using Grading - Ranks
To get the best from Grading in AXIS, we recommend you configure your syllabuses with sessions and days for each rank. This will feed directly into the Grading system and give you accurate data of where your students are in their journey.
Here's how to use the filter...
- Navigate to the Grading section from your dashboard.
- Select Grading Progress.
- Click Filter icon.
- Select the desired program and syllabus.
- Select the relevant ranks.
- Click Apply filter button to view the updated results.
Note: You can use the status filter narrow down your grading list.
Sorting Options...
You can use the sorting options to change the order of students in the grading list.
- Click on the Sort button.
- Select your sorting preference (e.g. Last Name, Ranks, Days or Descending).
Grading your students...
When you consider a student ready for grading, the next step is to make them a Candidate for grading. It is up to instructors to review the information in the system and make a decision on whether to grade their students. All information is a guideline and does not take into account physical skills or attitude in class.
When you are ready to grade your students, use the Promote button.
A student can be graded in AXIS at any time in ranks or sub ranks, regardless of their status.
"Little Johnny hasn't quite done enough classes but he's a gun and has a really great attitude, let's grade him!"
- Click the Candidate button.
- A confirmation pop - up will appear - Click Yes to proceed.
- Select a name from the list that you wish to promote.
- Click the Promote button.
- A confirmation prompt will appear, click Yes to finalise the promotion.
Using bulk actions...
So what happens if you have a number of people that need updating at the same time? No problem you can perform grading actions in bulk.
- Select all the students you want to grade by checking the boxes next to their names.
- Click the Promote/Candidate button.
- A confirmation prompt will appear, click Yes to confirm.
