# Making a Lead Cold or Dead

What to do with leads that are no longer interested.

Not all your leads will end up joining your school. 

There is no difference between a "cold" or "dead" lead, but it does separate them for reporting purposes. A cold lead is someone who is still interested but not right now, they are happy to be contacted again. A dead lead is someone who you know will never be joining. In either case, you are removing them from your active leads list.

**Here's how to do it...**

1.  Navigate to the **Lead Profile.**
2.  click on the **Lead Status.**
3.  Select  **Dead** or **Cold.**
4.  Click the **Make Dead** or **Make Cold** button.

Note: You can view your list of dead leads at the **Dead Leads** tab.

**Here's how to reactivate a dead or cold lead...**

1.  Navigate to the **Lead Profile.**
2.  click on the **Lead Status.**
3.  Set to **Active.**
