# Make a Student Inactive (If There is No Membership)

This is the process of making a student inactive before a membership has been created.

If you have added a student so that you can create a membership, and they change there mind before the membership is created, no problem. You can make the student inactive on their profile.

**Here's how to make a student with no membership inactive...**

1.  Go to **Student's Profile**.
2.  Click **Active** button to show dropdown.
3.  Click **Inactive**.
4.  Choose a **Reason** and **Save**.
5.  Go to **Inactive** tab.
