# Fix Ranks and Sub Ranks

Correcting ranks and sub ranks without grading.

We are all human and occasionally mistakes are made. If you run your grading filter and realise someone has the incorrect rank or sub rank you can fix it without it registering as a grading.

Important: Due to the complexities of grading, fixing ranks or sub ranks will **reset attendances and days back to zero on the updated rank,** so be mindful if you intend to use this. 

**Here's how to fix a rank...**

1.  Click the **ellipsis** button next to the student's name.
2.  From the dropdown menu, select **Fix Rank**.
3.  **Update** to the correct rank.
4.  Click **Save Changes**.
5.  A confirmation prompt will appear, type **sure** to confirm the rank adjustment.
6.  Click **Yes** to finalise and apply the changes.

**Here's how to fix a sub rank...**

1.  Click the **ellipsis** button next to the student's name.
2.  From the dropdown menu, select **Update Sub Rank**.
3.  Select the **correct** sub rank.
4.  Click the **Pass** button to apply the change.
